Todd Curtis and Michael Ryan Discuss UFOs, UAP, and Aviation Safety on UFOTalker.ca
In this May 22, 2024 episode from season two of the UFO Talker podcast, host Michael Ryan and Guest Todd Curtis had a wide ranging discussion about UFOs, UAP (Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena), and aviation safety. Todd Curtis, who has decades of experience with aviation safety, disucss how he became interested in UFOs growing up, and as an aviation safety professional, he was motivated to take a serious look at the relationship between UFOs and aviation safety after the lack of any formal U.S. government interest or investigation into a 2006 sighting at Chicago’s O’Hare Airport where there were multiple witnesses to an unauthorized and potentially hazardous presence of an unknown aircraft or possible UFO directly above a passenger terminal.
Inspired by the 2010 book, “UFOs: Generals, Pilots and Government Officials Go on the Record” Todd discusses how he reviewed multiple U.S. aviation safety databases reports of UFOs and UFO-type behavior and discovered in the NASA Aviation Safety Reporting System database 13 reports of unexpected, unusual, and hazardous behavior of aerospace vehicles that also demonstrated capabilities quite unlike conventional aircraft.
In addition to UFOs and UAP, Todd also answered several of Michaels questions, such as whether satellite technology would replace more traditional aviation technologies like radar (they won’t), why aircraft from secret government projects are probably not flying dangerously close to unsuspecting civilian aircraft, and whether Todd heard any UFO stories during his military career at Edwards Air Force Base (no, but he did hear a credible story when he was in officer training school).
